Wanderers made it 2 wins out of 2 for the weekend with a 3 – 2 win at home to Minchinhampton in the Charity Cup.

Quedgeley kept the ball well and used the wings to great effect. Ethan kings cross found Dean hankins who volleyed home at the back post to make it 1 – 0 after 15 minutes. The home side seemed to be in control and had the majority of possession but failed to find that final ball, James Lawes and Ethan King had goals questionably ruled out and Scott Edwards had 2 good chances to rap the game up.

However Minchinhampton equalised in the second half through a 25 yarder and Quedgeley had to start again. But they soon got the second goal, more wing play this time from Scott Banner, who beat his man and cut inside for Dean Hankins to grab his second with 20 minutes to go. And Scott Banner killed the game himself 5 minutes later with a toe poke into the bottom corner. With the game burning out, Wanderers conceded with 5 minutes to go to make it a tight finish but the home side held on to go through.

Overall it was a brilliant performance and are set for a Quarter final against either Glevum, Stonehouse A or Longlevens A.
